Complicity and conspiracy

An accomplice to a Florida crime is as guilty as the actual perpetrator, and they both face the same punishment. Complicity, as well as aiding and abetting, are other terms for this. Conspiracy is not the same as complicity. This term described the planning by two or more people of a crime to be committed in the future.

Florida woman charged with DUI after driving the wrong way

Police say that a 45-year-old Florida woman was under the influence when she caused an accident after driving the wrong way on a busy road in Tampa on the evening of Aug. 12. Officers say that the Hillsborough County resident refused to submit to a breath test following the two-car crash, and she was subsequently taken into custody on charges including DUI and battery. The accident took place on West Hillsborough Avenue at approximately 11:00 p.m.

Uber availability does not affect drunk driving rates

Many Florida residents are familiar with Uber and Lyft, the ride-sharing services that have transformed the taxi and transportation industries. Some people use these ride-sharing services in order to get home after nights out on the town. Uber has long pointed to studies that it says shows that the availability of its services is correlated with a reduction in drunk driving deaths. Another study, however, shows there may not be a relationship after all.
